Kelvin International School believes in the philosophy of all round of the children through training all faculties of the
mind and body through round the clock engagement. We maintain an unwavering commitment to academic excellence and entire
development of our students. By providing the right academic inputs and an effective developmental environment, we make the
journey of the child from the first hesitant steps enjoyable, enlightening and memorable.
The school underscores building up the general character a lot of the kids through a comprehensive program that urges
them to take an interest in a wide scope of co – curricular exercises, games and sports.
To praise the scholastics program, the school as of now offers a wide scope of co-curricular exercises which incorporate
Indian and Western Music, Folk and Classical Dance, Art and Craft, Dramatics and Public Speaking. All of these are
conducted under the proper guidance of expert instructors.
The school perceives that the current repetition learning and chalk and talk methodology needs critical upgradation in
the current day situation. Hence the school focuses around the idea of experiential learning that connects with
students in Critical hinking, Problem solving and Decision making in context that are personally relevant to them.
It inculcates these through an interdisciplinary program that is hands on and application skills oriented. This way
to deal with learning includes activity, reflection, conceptualisation and reapplication.
Apart from the unit tests, results of which are implied to guardians, terminal assessments are coordinated twice every
year. The half-yearly assessments take place in October/November while the final examinations are conducted in March
each year.
Houses at Kelvin International School
We have the proper mix of academics and extra-curricular activities to promote the universal development of children.
Activities like quiz, sports event and other competition are aimed at helping them discover their true potential.
These have been proven to improve skills, boost self-confidence, and remove stage-fear, among others.
For this purpose, the students have been divided into four Houses, named after Constellations (Group of stars). They
are: Orion (Red), Aquila (Blue), Lyra (Green) and Cygnus (Yellow). The various sports and other events are conducted
among these four Houses to ensure maximum participation from the students, while encouraging healthy competition
among the Houses.
Each House will headed by a House Leader who is ably supported by a Vice- Leader. Every teacher is allotted a House too.
This promotes bonding and inculcates a healthy team spirit among the teachers and students alike. It also ensures that
the children are trained for the various competitions by teachers from different disciplines.

SECTION (Class I-V)
Learning is Exploring, Experimenting and Responding! This is the next rung of the ladder. There is a buzz of excitement
and activity in the air. The curriculum encourages children to explore their interests, as they move concentrically
from the known to the unknown. There is a lot scope for creativity, self expression, development of social skills
and team work.
The curriculum addresses the uniqueness of each child and provides exposure beyond the academic. Mime, dance, music
and field trips – sports and a range of hobby interests add new dimensions to the growth of the child.
The basic inputs that the child has been provided at the formative stage are consolidated at this level as the student
becomes capable of understanding basic concepts of the various subjects. The classrooms and infrastructure have been
carefully selected to ensure that the sense of belonging created in the early years carries on with the child as he
moves to the Primary Section. Various co-curricular and extra-curricular activities are introduced at this level and
the children are encouraged to explore their creativity and individual talent.
Maximum growth for each learner is the professed motto at this level!
